Wix uses a global CDN to serve content and has invested heavily in performance optimization over the past two years. The results are acceptable for most use cases, but Wix sites still tend to load slightly slower than equivalent sites built on leaner platforms or self-hosted WordPress with performance-optimized hosting like Kinsta. The performance gap is most noticeable on content-heavy pages with lots of images, animations, and third-party apps.
